Note 1: Capt. Ezekiel Webster was killed by an Indian. Tradition in various branches of the family says in the French and Indian War. Capt. Ezekiel Webster was an ofﬁcer in the Revolutionary war; that he was killed by an Indian who removed his heart before life was extenct, and ate it. The date of his death ﬁxes the war in which he fell; it was too early for the Revolution.

Note 2: private in Fifth Connecticut Regiment, Capt. Timothy Cheney's Company, in Lexington Alarm, April 19th, 1775. Private in Capt. Nehemiah Rice's Third Company, Lieut. Col. Isaac Sherman, and Capt. Selden's Company, Col. S. B. Webb's Regiment. Discharged Dec. 9th, 1782.
